Donald Neil Carruthers
January 14, 1926 – September 18, 2017
Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Monday, September 18th, 2017, Don Carruthers at 91 years of age. Beloved husband of Betty Carruthers (nee McHolm). Loving father of Allan Carruthers (Terry) and Nancy Arthur (Rick). Cherished grandfather of Nicole (Kevin), Whitney (Calvin), Tyler (Madison), Sarah (Andrew), Amy (Jamie), Chris and great grandfather of Owen. Dear brother of Helen Sarles (the late Carman). Predeceased by his siblings Gordon Carruthers (the late Grace), Isabel Randall (the late Douglas), and Jean Stewart (Ronald). Also missed by his numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation with a Memorial Service to be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Wednesday, September 27th, at 1:30 pm. Visitation to be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 26th, from 6 to 9 pm and on Wednesday, September 27th, for one hour prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.
